** Plant them. They grow! **

Each plantable card is a special one-of-a-kind card that is handmade with a pair of plantable seed paper apples included. The inside of the folding card is blank for you to write your own message, or, order a personalized card and have a custom message printed for you. We can even add the teacher's name to the front of the card.

The plantable apples contain seeds to grow! Zinnia, daisies, marigolds, snapdragon, cosmos, columbine and more. Planting instructions are printed on the backs of the cards, along with a full list of seeds. Each card comes with a brilliant red envelope and is completely recyclable.

Two plantable apples are included for each card. The card itself does not contain seeds ~ the apples do. Write something special inside for your teacher to keep. The apples are not affixed to the card, simply tuck them inside the card for easy planting.

Size: 5 inches x 3.5 inches.
Cards are white, and the red envelope is included.

Seeds are intended for planting in 2018-2019. Seeds included in the paper are a mix of annuals, for first year color, and perennials for blooms in the years to follow. Planting instructions and seed list are printed on the back of every card. They really do grow - those are sprouts growing right out of the plantable paper in the photo at the right. Cards may be started growing inside anytime of year in a small pot, or saved and then planted in the spring through early fall, or whenever climate conditions are suitable.

Orders of 50 or more cards are priced at $3.40 each with FREE US shipping. They come with all of the components (card, apples, envelopes). The apples just need to be tucked in with each card.

Our handmade paper is made to order to promote freshness and contains a special mix of 'premium' garden flower seeds: Zinnia, pink cosmos, snapdragons, red and pink poppies, white daisies, blue cornflowers and flax, yellow calendula, dianthus/Sweet Williams, marigolds, black-eyed susans, godetia, and other desirable garden flower seeds. Other seed paper often contains too many lower quality 'wildflower' type seeds, such as baby's breath/sweet alyssum, that are considered weeds. Our premium quality seed mix contains a pollinator-friendly mix of both annuals, for first year color, and also perennials for blooms in years to follow. Herb seed paper, veggie seed paper, and custom seed paper with specific seeds are also available at extra cost.

Planting is simple but not foolproof. Plant like you would other seeds - under a thin layer of damp soil in full sunlight. Seeds sprout best in warm, damp soil. Shoots grow strongest in sunlight. You can plant our seed paper inside in a small pot or outside in a pot or garden space. Most flowers can bloom entirely indoors in a small pot using a heat mat and grow lights. For a custom shape, a piece can be designed. Something like that requires extra time and cost. It will typically be about $90-120 plus the cost of the pieces and will require at least 2-3 weeks lead time. Some pieces may have a higher cost ($200-250) depending on the nature of the design. It's not usually worthwhile unless you need to order thousands for a company event or promotion. In some cases, we may have a piece similar to what you are looking for that can be done for $30-80 instead.
