The miniature version of a classic turtle mola, in bright, fun colors!

ON SALE!

These extra small molas are called 'mor bipi' in the Kuna dialect. A wonderful example of old school, reverse applique mola making in 'true mola' style.. very hard to find in a mola of this size especially in these bold rich colors! You will find plenty of non traditional small molas like you may have seen elsewhere but these done in traditional reverse applique are rare and just precious!

Traditional geometric 'serkan' designs on the turtle's back give this mola cultural dimension. These are very old and were originally used as body painting designs by the Kuna tribe. Here they represent the earth's 4 directions.

Sea turtle = 'yeow'. That makes these little wonders 'yeow mor bipi !
Yowie zowie! Just too sweet!
