Description

Prairie Bonnet

Fun for playing dress up, but also a practical way to keep the sun off your daughter's face and neck on hot summer days. Fabric ties fasten under the neck and the back ruffle pulls in with elastic. You may choose the same fabric as a dress you have just ordered or pick a fabric from the links below.

Sizing is as follows:
X-Small (Baby), Small (Toddler), Medium (4-7 yrs), Large (7-10 yrs), XL (10 and up including women who want a smaller bonnet), XXL (fits women who would like a larger bonnet)

We do not recommend that you size up on these bonnets. They are similar to historical prairie bonnets and therefore larger than the hats we generally wear in this century. Ladies can often wear a Girls XL in this design.

Unlike the picture, we make the ties out of the same fabric as the bonnet.

We are offering two kinds of fabrics for these bonnets and have decided to give you access to our full fabric stock. You may choose from our 100% cotton quilting quality fabrics or our easy care poly/cottons. You may choose from any of the fabrics on the following pages. When you check out please give me your fabric choice in detail. For example, C102-B--berry floral. This way I will be absolutely sure to know which fabric you desire. There are instructions at the top of each page in case you would like a sample before purchasing.

You may pay for your garment directly through Etsy checkout or PayPal. We begin work on your custom order immediately by processing it, pulling and cutting fabric and getting your garment in the production line for sewing. Ready to ship orders are processed and packed. In order to keep our prices as low as possible, once an order has been placed, we do not grant cancellations. Thanks for your understanding.

Returns and exchange details

In order to keep our prices as reasonable as possible for everyone, we do not accept returns on our ready to ship garments. I'd encourage you to ask questions before purchasing to be sure that the item will meet your needs.

Custom orders or altered items are not returnable as they have been made specifically for you. If you have a concern about your order after receiving it, please do contact me. It is our desire to please all of our customers. Most disappointments can be avoided by checking size/measurements before ordering and asking as many questions as needed.

Orders are processed and administrative work is begun as soon as your order is placed. For this reason, we do not accept cancellations. Again, please be sure to ask questions before placing your order to make sure an item will meet your needs.

Shipping policies

All sewn items within the US are mailed via USPS Priority Mail which generally takes two to three business days once it has been mailed. Sewing patterns ship First Class and take about 5 days. Your tracking number will be provided when the package is mailed. As a general rule, we ship each week's finished orders on Saturday morning and packages arrive between Monday and Wednesday. If you order a ready to ship item early in the week and need your package sent right away, just let me know. Time and weather permitting we would be glad to accommodate you.

If you would like overnight delivery or added insurance (over $50), please email me before placing your order so I may adjust the pricing.

International (including Canada) orders will be shipped via USPS 1st Class International. If you would like Priority Mail shipping, please contact me and I can send a paypal invoice for the additional shipping costs. All customs paperwork will include the contents and price of your order. Duties and taxes are the responsibility of the buyer.

FAQs

Ready to ship orders are shipped out in 3-5 business days. We generally ship on Saturdays but if you need expedited shipping, please let me know before you order and I can let you know if it is possible. If you order custom items along with ready to ship items, they will be sent together when the custom items are finished. Our turnaround time for custom orders is one month.

A custom order is any garment where you choose the size and fabric and I then make it up for you. Custom orders have a one month turnaround time. If you require a custom item sooner, add your item to the cart and take note of the price. Then go to the last section of our shop called "Rush orders" and use the appropriate listing there in order to receive your order by the date you need it.

Some of our listings include a size chart. If you need any help with sizing simply send me a conversation and I'll be happy to help you out. For a child give me age, chest and waist measurement. For an adult give bust and waist measurement. Pattern sizing can be different from store sizing, especially in adult sizes. It's always better to check if you are unsure.

I sure do! If you don't like what you see, please send me a conversation and let me know what kind of fabric you are looking for. I have everything from linen blends to chambray to a much more extensive collection of cottons than I can put in an etsy picture.

Please be sure that you can commit to your purchase before you place your order. It is our desire to provide clothing at a very reasonable cost. We do not build in cost for relisting or time spent in background administration. Therefore, once your order is placed, it cannot be cancelled. Thank you for your understanding.

In order to keep our prices as reasonable as possible for everyone, we do not accept returns on our ready to ship garments or custom made garments. Please ask questions before purchasing to be sure that the item will meet your needs.

I understand that there is a risk in ordering custom made as you cannot try it on before purchasing. I purchase plenty of handmade clothing on Etsy and while not everything is perfect, like you, I enjoy the adventure of having something made just for me.

Please send a conversation with any questions you may have before you order. I will almost always get back to you on the same day during the work week. Questions sent on weekends may not be addressed till Monday. I do ask that you only send multiple conversations if you are serious about purchasing. It goes a very long way in helping me keep prices as low as possible.
