Description

What a fanastic find. Four stacking hand painted ashtrays, made in Japan by the Takito Company. Look at the vibrant colors painted on each and the gilt highlights. GORGEOUS! Though intended as ashtrays, they would be a fanastic to hold tea bags as tea caddies.

Judging from the markings, this set was made in the 1930s. They measure 4" x 4" and are in wonderful condition with no chips or cracks. Very clean, probably never used as ashtrays. The enamel painting is three dimensional and so rich looking, you will not be disappointed to gifve these as a gift if you don't keep them for yourself.

Thank you for looking!
