Description

This print is from a series inspired by a trip to the British Museum. I love the shapes, colours and textures of the pots, and like to imagine the life they have had. I have tried to capture the 'soul' of the pots in my artwork.

They are produced from a collograph printing plate made using eg. card, paper, texture pastes, glue. The plates are then printed using oil based safe wash ink onto Somerset 300g paper.

The prints have embossed look and are very tactile. This print is made up of 9 small plates printed together.

Approx size of the image is 21cm x 21cm.
Approx size of the paper is 25cm x 25cm.

This is a handmade print and is part of a variable edition of 10. Due to the printing process there are small variations from print to print.

This print plus 2 others were part of an exhibition at Ochre Print Studios in Guildford, where they won the Intaglio Printmakers runner up prize.

The print will be shipped sandwiched between 2 pieces of rigid cardboard.

If you require a mount or frame please contact me for a quote. The third photo shows the print framed.
