The Geraldine Cowl is a lightweight lace cowl knitted in the round using the same pattern as the Geraldine Slouch.

Sizes Single Double
Circumference 56 cm 130 cm
Height 26 cm 24 cm
Materials required
Touch Yarns 4ply/fingering - 100% NZ Merino.
Shade # 205 (455m per 100g skein).
Approximately 55g/235m 90g/410m
Note - If making the cowl longer or with more height you will use more yarn.

Knitted in the round
1 x 3.25mm/US 3 40cm circular needle for single size.
1 x 3.25mm/US 3 80cm circular needle for double size.
1 round marker.
Wool needle for sewing up.
Note - Using a different yarn other than the one suggested may give an unsatisfactory result.

Tension (Gauge)
28 sts and 36 rows to 10 cm/ 4 ins over stocking stitch on 3.25mm/US 3 needles. The gauge is not crucial.

Abbreviations
Alt - alternate, cm - centimetres, ins - inches,
k - knit, kfb - knit into the front and back of the next stitch,
k2tog - knit 2 stitches together, meas - measures, p - purl,
rem - remaining, rep - repeat, rm - round marker, ssk- slip, slip, knit (slip two stitches one at a time knitwise, knit the two slipped stitches together through back loops), srm - slip round marker,
st(s) - stitch(es), yo - yarn over.

The pattern uses basic lace stitches.
