Description

When you purchase this crochet pattern, you will receive a link to download a pdf with instructions to crochet your own amigurumi monkey plushie in either of two sizes. Sorry, I do not sell the hand made item at this time.

For one of our favorite yarnbombs, we turned a preschool gate into a banana forest with a cheeky monkey stealing a banana. She was just too cute not to share, so we worked her up in two sizes: a baby and a mother.

You can use any weight yarn for this project. The small monkey uses a small hook, yarn held single, and single crochet stitches throughout. The large monkey uses a larger hook, yarn held double, and half double crochet stitches. You can use this simple trick on almost any pattern where gauge and fit aren’t critical.

Pattern download: After checkout you'll find a link to immediately download this 2-page pdf file.

Sizes: 18 and 30 inches tall.

Skill level: Intermediate

Required skills: It's about one step up from a beginner’s pattern, using single crochet, increase, decrease, and half double crochet stitches.

Materials: Any yarn weight and the appropriate hook will work for this project. For worsted weight yarn, you'll need about 600 yards for the small and 1700 yards for the large. You'll also need stuffing and a tapestry needle.

Used this pattern for a skirt guard for a Tweed Ride resto-mod of an early women's Columbia bicycle. I had a lot of adoring fans! Thank you for this great pattern. I was worried it wouldn't stretch to fit a 700c wheel size, but with blocking and stretching to fit, it worked. (It helped that I placed mounts under the fenders.) Thank you!

Love these slippers! They are awesome. I've made 6 pairs already but I did have to modify the pattern a little. Under Foot, Rounds 1-2 did not make sense. I attached them together with a total of 24 stitches (Round 3's stitch count) and that were Rounds 1-3 for me. Thank you for sharing such a fun pattern.

I had so much fun making these! Thank you! (This pair I left in the room after my doctor's appointment . . .hehe.)

Fantastic! I did not expect this pattern to work up so quickly. The pattern is easy to understand. Very well written. The photos are very helpful. I did use a smaller hook than was recommended, So there were a few adjustments to be made, but simple enough. (I found the holes were too large and the stuffing showed through too much. All in all, I was very pleased with the pattern and the outcome.
