Item details

Vintage from the 1970s

Here is a Nikon FM 35mm film camera with a 50mm 1.8 Nikon prime lens.

This Nikon FM is in good condition and great working order. The shutter speeds seem accurate (ranges from 1/1000 to 1 second and Bulb) and the light meter is working and also seems accurate. I have not taken any pictures with it but I did run a roll of film through it to make sure the film advance and rewind knob work and they do. The Nikon 50mm f1.8 Lens is clean and clear with aperture settings of 1.8 - 22 and the light seals look good. The film door does have scratches and marks on it but it does not affect image quality. Check the images for more information on the camera's condition.

Camera Serial#: 3011332
Nikon Lens Serial#: 1135962

It comes with 2 new batteries to run the light meter.

This classic camera is perfect for anyone just starting out in photography, students, or any film enthusiasts.

The Nikon FM is a mechanically operated, interchangeable lens, 35 mm film, single-lens reflex (SLR) camera. It was manufactured in Japan between 1977 and 1982 by Nippon Kogaku K. K.

The FM was the replacement for Nikkormat FT3, which had been introduced only a few months prior. It introduced an entirely new compact, but rugged, copper-aluminum alloy (duralumin) chassis that would become the basis for Nikon's highly successful range of compact semi-professional SLR cameras.
