A honest to goodness (or not so goodness) JAILBIRD?!

Bizarro is all that comes immediately to mind with this vintage Enesco ceramic or porcelain Jailbird bank in a cage kitschy whatchamcallit. Another thing that comes to mind is the 1970's, which may answer some of these questions, like what, why, and why not? So here's something I must admit. The photos I have taken of this are downright awful. I really don't know what got into me, but these are wretched, awful photos that make it look like I have no clue. And while I have no good answer for why this is the case, I can assure you the Jailbird (and the cage that opens and closes) looks wonderful in person. In fact, if he weren't so trippy and 1970's, I would say he is new. What I forgot to photograph was the coin slit on the back of his head, and the bottom, with that removable rubber cap that you've seen a million times when you were a kid. So if you are all nutty about this one-off wonder, go ahead and buy it it. You know you like this.
