Description

This beautiful dress was inspired by a woman featured in the manuscript Très Riches Heures du Duc de Berry. The one-of-a-kind outfit is comprised of a fitted cotehardie that laces up the back and up the forearms; a rich, metallic skirt that rests on the hips; and a black, non-stretch velvet overdress with floor-length sleeves and a flattering, straight-cut neckline. The long sleeves can be pulled up by the hem and pinned to the underarm for a different look, or for convenience when walking around in a crowded area (see last picture).

This dress was originally listed as a unique item , as I designed it personally to wear to a local Renaissance Festival. It is now available for custom order! To achieve the best possible fit, I will need the following measurements:

- bust
- waist
- nape of neck to waist
- waist to floor
- shoulder to wrist
- wrist circumference
- bicep circumference
- underbust

Unfortunately, my local fabric outlet no longer sells the gold fabric I used for the cotehardie. The best match is silk dupioni, which is available in a wide variety of colors!
Jewelry pictured is not included in the purchase.

Super gorgeous, absolutely breathtaking. The outfit is a bit on the heavy side, but that was expected, and it certainly changes how I carry myself when I wear it, which has the side-effect of making me feel very regal and important! The sizing is pretty good given that there was no way to do a fitting. I ended up adjusting the underskirt a little, as it sat on me a little lopsided originally.
At first it was pretty difficult to put on or take off without help, but that was also somewhat expected, and it's gotten easier with practice.
The fabric is wonderfully luxurious, and the seller was an absolute doll to work with. Very friendly and helpful. All in all, totally worth it!

The seller was super quick to respond to my questions and incredibly helpful and friendly. The corset is beautiful and well made! It fits perfectly and it gives me the perferct silhouette for my Victorian ensembles. I couldn't be happier!
