Description

This listing is for ONE large calendar lithograph dated January 1959 as shown above. All the posters for 1959 are done in costume. This one is very patriotic.

This listing is for a single poster for the month of January in 1959. (NOTE: December 1958 and February 1959 are also shown on the bottom portion of the page.) January's New Moon, First Quarter, Full Moon and Last Quarter are shown. LITHO-KROME IN THE U.S.A. is shown in small print as is Copyright 1958 by The Timken Roller Bearing Company. TIIMKEN BEARINGS ROLL THE LOAD appears in white letters on black background at the bottom of the poster page. This calendar page measures 16" x 20".

CONDITION: This piece is in excellent vintage condition for its age; it is without markings or creases. This print is signed by Victor Keppler on the bottom right side.

HERE'S THE STORY ON THE PRINTS IN GENERAL:

I was thrilled when I came across a large bunch of replacement calendar poster pages from the 1950s and 1960s. I have about 88 heavy-duty photo calendar pages each of which is considered highly collectible framable wall art. The man behind these lithographic prints is the infamous commercial photographer Victor Keppler and he was one accomplished fellow. (Google him and you'll see what I mean!)

I will be listing a large number of these over the next week both individually and by sets. I have been collecting for over 20 years and have never found anything similar; these are difinitely a rare find -- especially in such wonderful condition. The colors are all fabulous and the prints are very life-like Additionally, the lighting is so exceptional that each beautiful woman looks like she is popping out of the page. Each gal is dressed in a 1950s era outfit suited for the month she represents.

I have complete sets containing 12 gorgeous calendars for the following years:

1955 -- Complete with January through December 1955
1956 -- Complete with January through December 1956
1958 -- Complete with January through December 1958
1960 -- Complete with January through December 1960
1961 -- Complete with January through December 1961

At this point I am not going to break the 12-month sets since they are scarce finds.

Vintage calendar prints for the years 1954, 1957 and 1959 will be listed individually since those years are missing a few months.
