I created Josephine's yarn using 3 different types of yarns, an orangey cotton/silk thread, a mustardey yellowish mohair & a multi hued mohair/silk/acrylic that featured gold, red and green tones in it. Although a 3-ply the finished yarn remained lacey and lofty and I wanted to echo that in the sweater design. I started with a geometrical lace design at the bottoms of body and sleeves and just let it run its course, adding empire waist ribbing (and adjustable bust width) with the orangey cotton/silk as well as crocheted edging all around. Little hook & lace closures polished off the look, as well as the flared sleeves.
