SPARKLING 1930s Traditional Round Mission Tea Canister Jar for Hoosier Cabinet, Some imperfections but solid, has metal lid, Storage, Shells

Description

This old jar is not perfect but it is beautiful and solid and still very usable. This listing is for a traditional mission ribbed Hoosier tea canister jar, measuring 4 11/16" tall with aluminum lid. (looks to be original though it is loose.) Canister diameter is 3 3/8" in diameter. Glass is beautiful and the ribbing reflects light and helps hid imperfections in glass. There are a couple of scratches on outside of jar which can be felt if you run your finger on it. These look like they might have happened in production. There are at least 7 areas where glass has shattered looking areas or cracks but none can be felt inside or out. Largest one measures 1". (See in photo 2.) The integrity of the canister is not compromised as these areas do not go all the way thru but are inside glass and not felt. Rim is in very good condition with no chips I can see or feel. Very usable for storage or display in your vintage kitchen or if you are lucky enough to have an old hoosier cabinet. The aluminum lid looks to be original. Is dinged and dented but fits loosely. Someone cut a very narrow strip in top like you would use it as a bank but not wide enough to get coins in. (See photo 3.) I think it is loose because the aluminum is so pliable that over years it has gotten stretched at tad.
This would look lovely anywhere you want to use it. Display tea bags. Use for seashell or cotton balls, Q-tips, Christmas candies. Such instant nostalgia!
Questions welcome. I tried to show imperfections but really hard to photo as the ribbing picks up light and disguises.
Listing is for jar with lid only. Coral for display to show how beautiful this old glass looks with natural items. (:
I have seen these dated to 1920s and 1930s.
