This item is a Light-Colored Wooden Pusher Downer, also known as a Runner Downer.
I inlay a small 1/4" diameter Abalone Shell dot on each of my hatmaking tools, and then engrave my signature and date.
This is a specialized tool that Hat Makers use when they are shaping a wool felt blank into a Crown with a Brim. A cord is wrapped around the Crown at the point where the Brim starts it's bend outward, and the Pusher Downer is used to push this cord down into position.
I started making Hat Making Tools under the direction of several professional hat makers who needed someone with woodworking and design experience to build new examples of these tools, most often used in the mid-to-late 1800's
The cute little shelf display stand is also available if you want to pay extra for it.
If so, let me know to add $45.00 to your purchase and I'll pack the display stand in the box before I ship the Pusher Downer to you.
If you would like see more photos of my Pusher Downer tools, you can visit this website, where I have more photos and further links to other hat making tools I offer.

SHIPPING SCHEDULE:
PLEASE READ
I am a solo-artisan that works full time at my crafts, and so I can easily get overwhelmed with orders.
I build each of these tools by hand and assemble the parts myself, and I keep booked up with orders.
So, I would expect that it will take me in the range of 1-3 weeks to ship the tool after your order.
I solely control my schedule, and so I will do whatever I can to help you in your work, but you will need to understand that I may have already made commitments that interfere with your needs. If you have any questions, or need a definite schedule, please email me.
