30+ Native to South Africa, this lovely and unusual perennial goes by many names; Fortnight Lily, White African Iris, Butterfly Iris, and Morea Lily. These are evergreen perennials with green sword-like foliage that stands erect in large clumps and makes a dramatic vertical statement in the garden. The upright clumps of leaves are held in a vertical fanlike position and spread on creeping rhizomes. Iris-like flowers are produced throughout spring and summer in light, dappled shade to part sun. Once established, Fortnight Lilies tolerate poor, dry soils, but do best in a well drained soil with regular watering during the growing season. Dietes vegeta is somewhat taller than iridoides and will grow 18-24 inches tall and spread 36-48 inches wide. Hardy to Zone 8. Instructions included. Combined shipping discount...all additional items ship free.
