Description

This is a full length silk kimono.

Age: mid-Showa period
Condition: Excellent - No rips or tears, or stains. It was probably worn once for engagement photos or used by a high-end photo studio for portraits.

You can wear it lounging around your home as the ultimate lingerie, or wear it belted as a sexy dress, or even over a cocktail dress or skinny jeans and heels. Of course, it would look incredible displayed as wall art.

This silk is both Rinzu and Shibori, adding intricate details and value to the kimono.

Rinzu silk is Japanese damask silk and features patterns actually woven into the base of the fabric.

Shibori is hand-tied Japanese tie-dye, a traditional dying method with centuries of history.

This kimono is ONE SIZE FITS MOST. Please message me for exact measurements. It's very long. I'm 5'4 and it would (unbelted) flow along the ground if I walked barefoot.

The lining is from dyed silk, featuring an intricate pattern of flowers, fans, and clouds. The colors are designed to contrast with the main haori fabric. This eye-catching pattern is exceedingly rare in a lining. This shows how much the designer valued the piece and how wealthy the original owner must have been.

The this kimono is lined with stunning coral-toned ombré silk. The color combination is traditionally a summer pattern of kimono.

This is the perfect piece for any outfit, from festivals to parties, or even the bedroom!

It's also incredibly rare and worthy of display.
Whether you wish to wear out for a night on the town or put it on display, this one-of-a-kind kimono is a beautiful addition to any collection.

Measurements: Please send me a message if you would like precise measurements and/or phtotos of it being modeled.

I'm currently traveling back and forth from Texas to Japan with access to incredible antique-dealers. I've uncovered treasure troves of antiques, and I'm just beginning to share my collection on Etsy.
