Ideal for oboists with a highly developed embouchure seeking the maximum in musicality and expression, I design these reeds to be flexible and vibrant with a refined, rich tone, and effortless response.
I use a Graf gouger and a Mack-Pfeiffer shape. The reeds are tied on brass staples with synthetic cork. For my pro reeds I hand select cane that gouges beautifully with strong yet flexible characteristics.
Each reed is handmade, play-tested, and guaranteed against arriving cracked or leaking. Thread color may vary.

I play in a community band. I am always on the hunt for the perfect reed - I may have found it! I ordered 2 of the pro reeds. When I got them, I was so impressed with the quality. They played in tune, crowed c, and were playable with zero adjustments. I have been playing on them a couple of weeks now. I liked them so much, I ordered 3 more to have on hand since they take a while to ship. I just got the second order today, and all three of these pro reeds were again perfect out of the box!! I have tried soooooo many reeds, with so many ending with disappointment. These reeds are consistent. Such a hard quality to find. I will definitely order these again!!

I am an experienced player, but do not make my own reeds. These are by far the best I’ve found to purchase! All three reeds I ordered had a lovely sound in the low, mid, and high registers, and were the perfect strength for me!
