Description

Hand dyed, fingering weight, SW Merino wool 75/25 with nylon, Believe it or not, I get my colors using Kool-Aid and other safer dyes such as food coloring. Once applied properly they are colorfast and permanent. This is the perfect choice for a special pair of socks. It will work well for a shawl, baby wear or any other project and will retain it’s shape due to the nylon content.

Like the colors but not sure what to make? Using the Fair Isles technique is a fun way to blend solids and variegated to make a one of a kind keepsake and a colorfully unique and attractive gift. (please check my sold items for examples and ideas)

Each skein is kettle dyed by hand, along with other techniques to achieve final results and is very unique. Variations exist with each dye batch. Light to darker highlights with flecks of white or other colors is what gives this yarn it’s personality. Please make sure you order enough yardage for your project at the same time. If you would like more than one skein I would be happy to dye you as much as is required for your special project. It is advisable to rotate skeins to blend evenly in a larger garment. A slight color discharge at the time of first washing is normal but does not indicate color loss and it is advised that you wash this item separately in cool water with mild soap by hand especially the first few times.

The skein you will receive with this order measures 462 yards

If you prefer to receive your yarn in cake form, please purchase the cake listing along with your order(one per skein).

I do my best to accurately represent the true color in my pictures, but appearance may vary due to your monitor settings. Thank you for looking!
