Description

My latest pattern is now available for instant download: the Double Exposure Zippered Pouch!

Introducing a fresh new, fun and easy way to apply zippered details to a pouch! Instead of hiding pretty colorful zippers between layers of fabrics, expose them! They become a design detail that adds FUN to functional. If you trim the zipper edges in lace, they resemble the popular Japanese lace zippers, with unlimited opportunity for designs.

What's better than a pretty zippered pouch for storing your favorite things??? A zippered pouch with TWO pockets, all dressed up with two pretty zippers!

The 16-page pattern is written in a tutorial style, with PLENTY of clear photos showing each step in the process. You will be able to zoom in on the pictures on your computer, if you want to see details even more clearly. Examples of the photos are shown in this listing. The text includes tips and options. An intermediate level sewist can make one in a matter of 2 hours, even the first time.

Zippered pouches make wonderful gifts and are fun to make. You can choose fabrics to reflect the personality of the recipient. This pattern is fat quarter friendly!

The finished pouchmeasures about 9 1/2" x 12". It's great for storing sewing projects and supplies, such the hexagons in the photo. Keep the double pouch flat, or fold it in half to tuck it into your tote bag for sewing on the go. If you don't sew...the pouch can be used for organizing items within your purse.

THIS LISTING IS FOR A PDF PATTERN, NOT THE FINISHED ZIPPERED POUCH! If you check my other listings, you may find finished pouches for sale. If you have a special request, contact me...I would love to sew something just for you!

The PDF file will be available as a DOWNLOAD as soon as you buy it. Follow the instructions to access your pattern PDF. International shoppers are welcome!

{If you would prefer to have a printed copy mailed to you, please contact me before ordering. There would be a slight additional charge for printing and shipping.}

Fabric requirements: This project makes great use of scraps, or you can use:
fat quarters of 2 to 3 prints, for exterior and lining
1/3 yard Pellon fusible fleece 987F
2 zippers at least 12" long
1 1/2 yds lace, ric rac or ribbon trim
