Indigo Shibori Fabric Scraps, Tie Dye Fabric Sampler, Gift For Sewer

This indigo Shibori bundle consists of 7 hand dyed, cotton pieces. They have been created with Japanese Shibori techniques, in which the fabric is manipulated to create pattern when dyed. Stitching, wrapping, folding, binding and compression, are some of the ways in which pattern is achieved. Each bundle is carefully collated to provide you with a variety of techniques and patterns. The photos here are a sampling of pieces from various bundles. You may, or may not, receive these exact patterns, but you will receive a variety of 7 different Shibori designs.

Each set contains some squares and some rectangles. Rectangles range in size from 6"x 7" - 5"x 15", squares range from 8"x 7" - 11"x 12". No pack contains just the smaller sizes, while no pack contains just the larger pieces. You will find a balance.

All pieces are excellent quality cotton fabric. The majority are Robert Kaufman Kona cotton and Pimatex cotton broadcloth. You may receive a piece of Japanese tenugui cotton.

They can be used anywhere small pieces are useful, from visible mending and patching jeans, to making zippered pouches, wristlets, covered buttons, coasters, gift tags, pincushions, or scrappy quilts. You can frame these pieces for a collection of wall art in traditional frames or embroidery hoops.

absolutely beautiful fabric selections arrived promptly. Can't wait to use them to patch various denim items using the japanese Sashiko stitching/quilting technique!

Item arrived quickly, in great condition and packaging (with a cute hand-stamped note!). I received 7 pieces, each in a different design, the largest of which was 7x12". These are truly beautiful!

I love the color variations and the pieces are perfect for small projects. I saw you at Greylock Works Craft Fest and loved your artistry. I was sorry I didn't purchase something that day, but am glad to find you an Etsy.
