Packages are sent via USPS Mail*

⏳ Processing Time - Note each specific listing and/or the Shop Announcement. Processing times may vary depending on the item and/or the time of year.

⌛️ Shipping Time - (in addition to processing time) Orders are shipped via USPS Mail* Smaller/lighter items are shipped via First Class which make take a few days to a week or so to travel. Larger/Heavier orders usually ship via USPS Priority Mail which takes 1-3 days mail travel from California to your USA destination (on top of processing time). In some instances Parcel Post may be used, which can take a smidgen longer.

🧮 Shipping Rates - Shipping is estimated by weight for each order based on USPS rates + cost of materials.

Some items in the shop include free shipping, while others are free shipping when the total purchase reaches $35 or more. This is specified in each listing.

There will need to be a separate order placed for each shipping address, we will not ship a single order to multiple addresses.

Packaging Materials - Mainly bubble mailers and/or USPS Priority Mail Boxes. In addition, bubble wrap, packing peanuts, paper shred, etc... Please recycle where available!

🔨 Damaged Goodies. If a lavender lovely arrives damaged, please send a message within 24 hours of the tracked delivery date. Please message via the Etsy messaging system and include the following;

Order Number
Photo(s) of item damage
Photo(s) of exterior of shipping package

If the all the above are submitted, and meet claim criteria - a claim will be filed with the shipping carrier and damaged lavender lovelies will be replaced.

📭 Lost Goodies. Once a package is dropped off at the shipper, Lavessence is no longer responsible for the item, as it is in the hands of the trusted carrier. However, if a package with confirmed delivery seems to be missing.... ⬇️

🔎 Investigate. Please check all possible delivery locations at the confirmed delivery address; (door wo/man, mail room, mailbox, manager’s office, porch, back door, side door...) Also check with all those whom share the same address and/or may have brought in the package, placing it in a random location (desk in the home office, coffee table, kitchen counter, top of the cat post...)

⏰ Sometimes it’s just ‘late’. On occasion, a delivery person scans an item as delivered ‘before’ actually delivering. Employees are under tremendous pressure to meet delivery deadlines. It’s possible an item may show up a day or days after delivery confirmation.

🏴‍☠️ Porch Pirates. Sometimes packages are just stolen. If the mail box, porch, etc... is exposed, it’s at greater risk and prime target for theft.

📍 Once all possible persons and locations are checked, and you are 110% sure it’s not hiding somewhere, late, stolen and/or your RING can prove it was never delivered - you’ll have the ammo to reach out to your local postmaster to file a lost package claim. ➡️ Helpful Tip! When packages are scanned for delivery, the postal employee’s delivery device logs a delivery address geocode (exact location on a map of the scan). USPS can use this stored data to verify if the package was indeed delivered at the correct address, or accidentally put on the neighbor’s porch.

⚠️ Lavessence does not have the capacity to contact the USPS on your behalf. The recipient will need to attempt to call, or the better option is to walk in to the local branch with tracking number in hand.

🤦‍♀️ Incorrect Shipping Address. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure Lavessence has the correct shipping address. Be sure to review the shipping address during the ordering process. Lavessence will ship to the address as provided with the order within the designated area (not a separate comment or convo) if the address is incorrect and the package is returned, the item will need to be RE-shipped with new postage label, and the buyer will be responsible for the second shipping fee (even if the original order qualified for free shipping) If it was shipped to an incorrectly provided address, we are not able to recall the package. A new order would have to be placed (unless you are able to retrieve the item).

⁉️ Undeliverable and/or Returned Packages. As noted above, if for any reason a package is returned, the buyer is responsible to inquire about the returned order, and will need to pay additional shipping costs to RE-ship the package (even if the original order qualified for free shipping).

* Large custom orders may be able to be shipped via FedEx or UPS, this will be discussed during the custom order negotiations.
