Description

This Chamomile Scrub Soap is made with very strong chamomile tea. Chamomile, like the calendula flower, can calm the skin, while the honey in this soap is anti-bacterial, contains anti-oxidants, and attracts and holds moisture. A modest quantity of poppy seeds provides a not too intensive scrub. The scent in this soap comes from benzoin resin and litsea, lavender, and lemon essential oils, with an emphasis on the lemon for a refreshing effect.

I make this soap with the hot process method. This means that I don’t refrigerate the soap for the first days after production to ensure the saponification process proceeds slowly and in a controlled manner, but instead heat it to quicken the saponification process. Only after saponification is complete, I add the essential oils. This is to avoid that citrus essential oils fade during the saponification process – they are more sensitive to fading than other essential oils. Due to this different process, the soap also has a different structure, is harder and shinier. The hot process method is not inherently better or worse, but the choice depends on the properties of the ingredients and the preferences of the soap makers and users.

Piece of 100 g/ 3.53 oz.

Ingredients: saponified olive oil*, saponified coconut butter, saponified shea butter, water, glycerin, saponified rice bran oil, honey, saponified avocado oil, saponified castor oil, lemon essential oil, poppy seeds, benzoin resin, litsea and lavender essential oils, chamomile flower extract*, d-limonene, citral, linalol.

Ingredients INCI: sodium olivate*, sodium cocoate, sodium shea butterate, aqua, glycerin, sodium ricebranamphoacetate, mel, sodium avocadoate, sodium castorate, citrus limon peel oil, papaver somniferum seed, styrax benzoin gum, litsea cubeba fruit oil, lavandula angustifolia oil, chamomilla recutita flower extract*, d-limonene, citral, linalol.

* certified organic. Vegetarian.

All my skin care products are made in accordance with EU regulations, which means I produced them in a separate work space, following specific procedures, and I obtained a safety certificate for each individual recipe from an approved institution. For more information on ingredients and materials used, see http://www.kusalagifts.nl/c-2608446/english/

Other products can only be sent through package delivery. The status of small packages can only be traced by customers inside the Netherlands, while the status of larger packages can be traced by most customers, though in selected countries (for a list of countries that offer Track and Trace, see this website: http://www.postnlpakketten.nl/klantenservice/pakket-ontvangen/pakket-volgen/landenlijst.aspx). If you would like me to send your package through courier service, please contact me before placing your order to discuss the various options.

Delivery times for destinations outside the Netherlands can vary quite dramatically. Packages sent within Europe may take up to two weeks and packages sent to the US may take up to three weeks. If you suspect that your package is late, please contact me and I will do my best to discover what happened and to find a solution.
