Turn your pre-loved books into re-loved art & gifts.

This listing is for a book folding pattern to fold a SHIP into your hardback book to create an artistic addition as a gift or for your home or office. You can even sell the finished folded book.

This pattern requires 400 pages, so that’s 200 sheets (known as foldable sheets). The pattern has been created for a book height of 20 cms (excluding the covers) but it can be folded into a taller book, it’ll just leave you a little extra space below the image, for wider ribbon maybe.

All of my patterns are measure & mark, the most popular method to create folded book art. All of my patterns are tried & tested, you won’t encounter a ‘bad pattern’ here, the photo shows you exactly what your book will look like, providing you follow the pattern correctly of course.

Your pattern is downloadable as a pdf file as soon as your payment is confirmed. You’ll need a program that can open & print pdf files of course (Adobe Reader is free of charge & perfect for this).

Book folding is a fascinating hobby, so easy to mark out and fold as and when you have some spare time. It doesn’t need to be done all in one ‘sitting’. Mark a few pages on the train, fold a few pages in your lunch break, it’s easy to do but looks so unique. All you need is a hardback book, a ruler & a pencil, that’s it. Some people decorate the covers of their books, others fold an image relating to the title of the book, the possibilities are endless.

To find instructions on how to fold, there is a very good guide on Instructables here http://www.instructables.com/id/Folded-Book-Art-Best-most-clear-Tutorial-available/step2/Marking-the-pages/

Be sure to add Patterns for Pages to your favorites and come back often to see new patterns.

I also undertake commissioned patterns on an untested basis at the reduce cost of £2.50 per pattern. Get your thinking cap on & request something unique by emailing me at patternsforpages [!at] gmail.com or ask a question using the button above to the right.
