Description

This listing is for an original hand drawn portrait of your home. The photos included are just to show examples of my work.

A drawing of your home, business, or other location makes a great gift for so many occasions and are great for homeowners, business owners, holidays, birthdays, graduations, wedding venues, christenings, moving, your favorite vacation spot, your summer home, or as a retirement gift. I can draw any architectural location for you!

Your piece will come matted, but not framed. You are choosing the size of the artwork, so if you choose an 8x10" size, the art will be that size and the mat will fit into a standard 11x14" frame.

I have listings for multiple sizes, so please choose the size that you would like. This listing is for an 11" x 14" piece.

These drawings are completely custom, and my style incorporates water colors, pen and ink, and occasionally gouache or colored pencils.

In order to complete the drawing, you will need to take photos of the building, and send them to me via Etsy Convos or email. See Tips for Taking Photos below.

The drawings can be done in any season, but if not specified they will be done in a summery season (think green).

It will take me approximately 4-6 weeks to produce your drawing from the completion of the payment until it is shipped. Please order early for holidays.

For a last minute gift, I do sell gift certificates that can be mailed to you or the recipient within three days.

Tips for Taking Photos of your Home or Building:

1. Your photos need to be clear and detailed.
2. Make sure you include and indicate what view is your favorite, as that will be the view that I use to compose the piece.
3. Please also take a few other angles for my reference.
4. Make sure you get the entire building in the photo. You may need to take it from across the street, or take a sequence of photos to get it all in.
5. You should take detail photos of the doors, windows, any interesting architectural elements, the landscaping. The more detail shots you send, the more details I will try to include.
6. It is best to get a view of how the sun hits your house, and one with out too much sun. I can see more details when the sun is not directly hitting the building.
7. I can eliminate cars, signs, etc from the finished work, but try to get as much of the building as you can with out the obstructions.
8. Don't forget to let me know what you want included and what should be omitted.
9. I will match the colors of your home to the best of my ability, but realize that I am working strictly from the photos that you send me.
10. This is a portrait of your home, so people and pets that you want included will cost a little extra. Please convo me to set up a special listing.
11. Also remember that smaller pieces will show less detail than the larger sizes.

Once your the drawing is complete I will send you an emailed proof of the piece. Minor adjustments can be made to the best of my ability at this point, but remember that I am going off your photos and description.

I use only archival materials. I use Arches Aquarelle Hot Pressed 140lb paper, Windsor Newton Watercolors, and Micron Artist pens.

If you are looking to have multiples done of the same building, I can do one original, and create giclees from it. This is great for family homes that all siblings would like to have a copy of. Other items can also be created from the original, such as note cards, business cards, etc, and prices vary based on the item and the quantity. I need to know that you would like to use this option prior to completing the piece, and this may add an extra week onto the ship date for processing.

I retain all rights to my work and they are not allowed to be reproduced after the fact or used in any way without my consent.

Beautiful painting of my friend's house that she grew up and inherited after her mother died. It was a very meaningful and appreciated gift - she absolutely loved it. The recipient is moving so this painting will always remind her of all the wonderful memories she spent there. Erin was so accommodating with my short time frame and did a fantastic job. I highly recommend her work! It's beautiful.

Growing up in New York, the NY Public Library was a very special place to me. These note cards bring a little bit of home to me during the holidays. I love these cards and the seller's customer service and communication are just wonderful. Thank you for bringing a touch of New York to me during the holiday season.
