This work was published as part of "Sertum Botanicum," a serial publication of botanical illustrations of plants new to Europe at the beginning of the nineteenth century.

The purchase of this lot will bring three digital files to your Etsy page and from there you are able to download the three files. One file is the scan of the botanical illustration and the two other files are scans of the descriptive commentary issued with the illustration between 1828 and 1832.

The digital image of Amaryliss Carnarvonia is a color jpeg of about 780KB and the commentary comprises two black and white jpegs of about 500KB. The pixel size of each image when downloaded will be 750 x 1050, an aspect ratio of 5 x 7.

Sertum Botanicum ultimately comprised six hundred hand-colored botanical illustrations, issued to subscribers over a period of four years, from 1828 to 1832. They were published in Brussels by P. C. van Geel.
