In 1943, the government needed copper for ammunition and supplies for our troops in WWII, so they made pennies out of steel that one year instead of copper. A small piece of American history and the perfect gift for an 80th birthday! This is a lovely bracelet made with 3 1943 Steel War Pennies, silver tone Celtic knot connectors and a stainless steel toggle that features a single freshwater pearl dangle. Made to be worn with the front of the penny showing so the date is visible. Measures 7 1/2 ". If you need a smaller or larger size just request it in the note to seller at checkout. So, if you were born in 1943, you get the pennies that are as unique and special as you are!

I am so impressed with this bracelet!! It is EXACTLY as depicted in the photo, and, while the photo is great, the bracelet is even better in person. I had asked that the pennies be polished a bit, and they were -- just perfect. The bracelet was gift boxed; a polishing pad was included, as well as extra jump rings in case the recipient needed to make the bracelet a bit longer; and, a thank you gift was included as a beautiful and added bonus. I really liked the printed story behind the penny bracelet that will go to the recipient of this gift -- really nice touch! The package was sent 2 day priority and arrived in two days!! I highly recommend this seller and their handcrafted jewelry.

This was the perfect gift for my mom's 80th birthday! It arrived sooner than expected, wrapped in a blue bow & compete with free matching earrings and extra links. My mom has a very tiny wrist but they accommodated me & it fit perfectly. I highly recommend this product and company.
