The RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company introduced their King Size Cavalier Cigarettes in 1949. This new non-filter tipped cigarette was originally sold in a white soft pack picturing a dashing cavalier in his 17th century uniform.

In 1953 a unique oval tin of 100 Cavalier Cigarettes was produced. This rare collectible is bright red and white with some rust on the lid and some paint loss. The inside is lined with paper. It still has the original lifter tab to pop the lid and the remnants of a paper stamp that reads DE WITT CLINTON ONE HUNDRED. There is also a fine print warning to not reuse the tin or remove the tax stamp.

Measures 4 5\/8” wide x 4” high x 3” deep.
