Materials

925 sterling silver, Peruvian opal, chrysocolla, Tibetan turquoise, bone, antique glass, Colombian emerald, ruby in fuchsite, antique African trade beads, Picasso marble, nylon coated braided steel beading wire

These chunky stacking bracelets are made from a treasure trove of rare and valuable beads, from sacred and coveted hand carved stones, to antique trade beads from across the globe. In a palette of turquoise, light viridian and grey, I chose special beads with lines and scores like ancient numbering systems used by prehistoric humans and neanderthals. This is the dawn of all our written language, tiny lines and geometric pictographs that kept count of things in early wild human life.

SIZING

These rare trade bead bracelets fit comfortably on wrists from 5.5 inches to 7 inches around (14 - 17.8 cm). The lighter toned bracelet is 8.5 inches long and the darker bracelet is 8.75 inches long, but since they are chunky, they will be smaller than other more delicate bracelets of this size. My wrist is 5.5 inches around, and they wear nicely and don't look mis-sized.

These bracelets are just large enough to slip over a small hand without undoing the clasp. Please don't force them, as this may compromise their integrity -- that's what the clasps are for! They are strung on the highest quality braided steel beading wire with a nylon coating, so they are both strong and flexible.

I can lengthen these bracelets upon request at no additional charge.

SACRED BEAD DETAILS

On the lighter toned chunky bracelet, you'll find large fine quality ox bone beads, a hand carved ruby in fuchsite bead, a blue bottle glass African trade bead, scored batik bone disk beads from Africa, a very rare, antique "pineapple" design powder glass Akoso African trade bead, a natural Colombian emerald bead, a sky blue and cloud American chrysocolla bead and a highest quality glowing Peruvian opal bead all hand carved by my artisan friend Ray Robbins, a Czech glass sacred geometic bead, heavily lined Picasso marble, and an antique zigzag Venetian glass trade bead.

The darker chunky bracelet is composed of Picasso marble, large nuggets of natural Tibetan turquoise in blazing blues and olive greens, an antique glass trade bead from Africa, and African batik bone disk beads. Both bracelets are closed by an easy to grasp heart-shaped spring clasp of sterling silver.
