British Vogue agrees our combination of Mined and Refined materials is On-Trend classic jewelry, and makes an elegant and dramatic Statement!

The necklace is easily adjustable, from approx. 25" to 30" (63.5cm to 76.2cm) with 14k Gold Filled chain and a 18k Gold over Sterling Silver Vermeil Hook clasp. Genuine emeralds are 3mm-4.5mm; Genuine Pink Tourmaline briolettes are 6mm X 8mm. The one-of-a-kind Green Garnet Uvarovite stone is approx. 2" tall X 1-5/8" wide (50.8mm X 41.3mm) and approx. 3/16" to 5/16" (4.8mm to 7.9mm) deep, with rich 24k electroplated sides and fully coated flat 24k Gold back.

Tourmaline has the widest color ranges of any gem, so it's no wonder Tourmaline is Elizabeth's favorite stone! Known as the "Gemstone of the Rainbow," ancient Eqyptians believed Tourmaline traveled through a rainbow on its way to earth, taking on the full spectrum of colors, from rich reds to pastel pinks and peach, intense emerald greens to vivid yellows and deep blues. For centuries, Tourmaline hasadorned the jewels of royalty. The Empress Dowager Tz'u Hsi, the last empress of China, valued the rich pink colors of Tourmaline above all other gemstones. Ancient mystics believed Tourmaline encouraged artistic intuition, having the palette to express every mood. Tourmaline is the Gemstone of Love and Friendship, and is said to render relationships firm and long-lasting. Tourmaline is a birthstone for October, and is the gem of the Eighth Anniversary. -- American Gem Trade Association, GIA

Uvarovite is the rarest of all Garnets, naturally emerald-green in color, with lustrous crystal formations. Our Uvarovite stones are from remote locations high in the Ural mountains of Russia. Uvarovite was first discovered in 1832 by German Henri Hess, who named it after Count Sergei Semenovitch Uvarov (1765-1855), a Russian statesman and mineral collector. Uvarovite strengthens the heart, and promotes prosperity and wealth.

The first known emerald mines were in Egypt, dating from at least 330 BC into the 1700s. Cleopatra was known to have a passion for emerald, and used it in her royal adornments. Emeralds from what is now Colombia were part of the plunder when sixteenth-century Spanish explorers invaded the New World. Wearing an emerald was believed to reveal the truth or falseness of a lover’s oath as well as make one an eloquent speaker. Legend also states that emerald was one of the four precious stones given by God to King Solomon.

Emerald is known as a "stone of successful love;" instilling sensitivity and loyalty, and is a stone to bring harmony to all areas of one's life. Emeralds enhance memory and stimulate greater mental capacity. Today, most of the world's emeralds are mined in Colombia, Brazil and Zambia. The birthstone for the month of May, Emerald is the gemstone for twentieth and thirty-fifth wedding anniversaries. -- AGTA, GIA, and various additional sources
