Vintage Wedgwood Queen's Ware Embossed Grapevine Ashtray Pair Cream

This is pair of vintage cigarette ashtrays made in England by Barlastron of Etruria. They are from the popular Wedgwood Embossed Queen's Ware line and are glazed in a solid cream or ivory color with embossed grape vines around the rims. The ashtrays are round and measure about 5 5/8 inches in diameter with three cigarette rests evenly spaced along the rim. The bottoms are marked with a green Wedgwood inkstamp and also have an impressed Wedgwood mark with the production code 11 P 66. The condition is vintage and used but still quite lovely with no chips or cracks. A beautiful pair to add to your dinnerware service or to use on their own or even repurpose to some other task.

I am very pleased with the beautiful dish. I am dismayed a large, flat vintage dish was shipped a long distance inside a box with very little space for an adequate amount of the cardboard packing material that was used to pack it. The heavy dish was wrapped in a layer of bubble wrap, and sat on the bottom of the shallow box. I understand shipping is expensive, but when there's inadequate protective space and/or packing material, and an item is broken in transit, it is the buyer who is disappointed.
