Returns and exchange details
All items purchased from us must be returned in original condition with no breaks, damage, or signs of any wear (see original photos of items on our website) if the purchaser wants to receive a full refund of the price paid for the item. Damaged, broken or worn items cannot be returned for a full refund because we cannot resell them in that condition for the full purchase price. Purchaser has a 14 day examination period of the item(s) during which the item(s) must be returned if a refund is to be issued.
If the purchaser wants to return any items that have such damage, breaks or wear, they must agree to send to us first, by U.S. Mail, only sharp and clear pictures of the item(s) on all sides (but do not at that time return the item itself) noting where the damages are before return of any item(s) can take place. The purchaser will also include their email address and name along with the description of the item(s) written on a sheet of paper. We will then review the pictures and information and decide, at our discretion, whether the items can be returned or not and also decide, at our discretion, what the refund price will be (less than the original price - a partial refund) should we decide that the items can be resold. We will email you ahead of time to let you know what we decide the refund will be. If we decide they cannot be resold/returned to us for a refund, after examining the pictures and description of the damages that you mail to us, we will email you and let you know of our decision and why we cannot accept the item(s) for return.

We are not responsible for damage to items we mail to purchasers once they are mailed out to the purchaser. We agree to take the utmost care in packaging purchased items with care and insulating them from any damage or harm that could occur during the shipping process. We will use protective packing materials at all times to prevent damage, cracks or breakage. We will note in writing on the package that the materials are breakable and that they should be handled with care by the carrier. But we cannot be responsible for the failure of the U. S. Postal Service or any other carrier to be careful and protect the mailing materials from being crushed or if such handling by them results in not only the packaging being crushed but any damage that may occur to the packaged items. We do not anticipate that this will be a problem however because, in our experience, the U.S. Postal Service usually transports and delivers items with care and usually there is not damage.

If the purchaser does return an item(s) that is in its original condition, said purchaser agrees to use the utmost care in repackaging the item(s) and insulating them from any damage or harm that could occur during the return shipping process and purchaser will use the original protective packaging material or similar packaging material to pack and reship said item(s) back to us. And for those items with some damage that we decide can be returned to us for a partial refund, we ask that those persons do the same concerning repackaging the item(s) for return to us.

Again, we do not anticipate any problems but, if some arise, these are the return and refund or no refund terms the seller and the purchaser agree to abide by. We want this experience to be a good one for the purchaser(s) so we only produce these return and refund policies for your information and in cases where they become necessary.

Some of the mineral specimens on our website are extremely delicate especially those with exposed natural crystallization and crystalline faces, dendrites and/or other details. These need to be cared for by the buyer by keeping them in a clear specimen box or in a windowed cabinet if you want to display them. If you plan to store them for any reason, you will want to place them in a sturdy, leak-proof box covered with a good amount of packing material to keep them from getting damaged should they fall or get dropped. Some minerals, like opal, will dry out over time and will need to be stored in mineral oil or water to keep them in their original condition. Opals and some other minerals need to have a protected polish on for jewelry.
