Description

As a child I loved our holidays by the sea and I think that beachwashed glass is what started my love affair with glass. There's just something really wonderful about how the light lingers in it.

I melted the glass for these earrings in my kiln and then sandblasted it to achieve the same result as time in the surf does for beachwashed glass. These earrings absolutely glow and have that wonderful soft feel that beachwashed glass does.

I love the shape, so classic...they go with everything! I've photographed the earrings from several angles so you can really see the color and how they glow. Just select the color you'd like in the drop down box.

The glass is mounted onto sterling silver posts and nuts. You can see in the photo how nice the posts are, with rounded edge...so nice to your ears!

Each pair comes with a black card, as shown and one of my lovely velvet pouches, all of which is shipped in a bubble envelope. If you're ordering several colors and would prefer to have just one pouch, just let me know in the checkout notes.

My newest batch of Seapearls are a little larger, from about 7mm to just a tad under 8mm. If you have a preference for nearer 7mm or nearer 8mm, let me know in the checkout notes and I'll be sure to select for you the smallest/largest size I have in that color.

By the way, if you choose lavender, you'll get a little something 'extra' because the lavender glass is made with neodymium, a rare earth metal that changes color depending on what light source it's in. In florescent tube light it looks more blue, in compact florescent it looks more grey, in daylight it's lavender, in incandescent light it looks more pink. Fun!

Everything I make has been properly annealed in a digital kiln for a lifetime of enjoyment.

Shipping policies

Shipping cost: there is a flat shipping charge, and ALL additional pieces sent in the same package ship for FREE! Yay!

Shipping is from Vancouver WA, USA. I post to the address that you have registered with Etsy, so please take a moment and confirm that it is correct. I am sorry but once it's left my hands I have no control over delivery times.

INTERNATIONAL PACKAGES:
Include electronic USPS Delivery Confirmation, are sent first class, and are usually delivered in about 10 working days. I take care to fill out the customs form properly to expedite the package's transit through Customs/Import. Please note: now that I'm mailing from the USA, it's likely there will be VAT and Customs Duty charges on International Shipments over apx $20 in value. Any customs charge/import duty/VAT, are the responsibility of the buyer. Please see my shop announcement for links regarding how those charges are calculated.

For shipping, I wrap the glass carefully in dense bubble-foam wrap, and then place it in its lovely velvet pouch. For the exterior mailing envelope I usually use a padded bubble envelope. Orders with multiple items may be mailed in a box.

You can see a photo of how I wrap and package my glass at https://www.etsy.com/shop/JeneferHamGlass/about?ref=shopinfo_about_leftnav. Click through the photos at the top, it's the 5th photo.

UPDATE for DECEMBER DELIVERIES.
If you want your glass specifically in time for Christmas, I encourage you to order no later than November 20th.

Additional policies

Every care has been taken to ensure long life, but my pieces are made of glass, so common sense and care should be taken when handling them. You can clean them with a soft cloth and a bit of soap & water.

They are also relatively small items, so please use care if allowing children to view/hold/play with the pieces.
