FAQs

Since the release of our first book - "Everyday Cooking" - on April 5th, 2014 at MoCCA '14 the most frequent question we have received concerns dimensions. The exact measurements are 4.25 x 5.5 inches - or just a little bit bigger than a postcard or large envelope. As a result, we don't call them actual cookbooks. Attempting to create a full meal from scratch using the recipes is entirely possible - but could be tough due to the scale of the images. We tend to view our comics as a celebration of the food, the fun and the culture we enjoy rather than a fully illustrated instruction manual. Many cooking comics employ this same approach, but we like to state it outright for our customers. We hope this information helps!
We've recently had a few customers wondering how long we have been in business together / our history. While our Etsy store was established in fall of 2014, Choi and I developed our first cooking-comic - Korean / American: Everyday Cooking in March earlier that year, while still living in Brooklyn. Our first run of 100 books was sold out at MoCCA (Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art) Fest in April '14.

But since then we've done our best to put out at least one book a year - in between visiting all the awesome food joints in LA!
We strive to get shipments out before or on the scheduled due date. If we are unable to fulfill the order in a timely manner, we will contact you and inform you of any problem in advance. If any complications should arise once the order has been shipped, we will do everything in our power to rectify the situation, send out a new order or offer you a partial or full refund. All orders are sent via USPS unless otherwise specified.

During the Christmas season, shipping times can double. If you have a specific date in mind, such as a holiday, birthday or anniversary please let us know before you place your order and we'll make it happen!
Unfortunately, we no longer offer international shipping on a storewide scale. There were a number of factors that led to this decision, most concerning the reliability of American-International mail services and folks getting their orders on time. The last thing we want is for someone to loose an order (which sadly has happened).

However, we can make exceptions! If you're overseas and looking to purchase anything, drop us a line and let's talk it over. Alternatively, you can always check out or friend-neighborhood vendor - The Secret Headquarters Comic Shop, in Los Angeles. They ship all over the world!
