There's no recommended yarn weight in the pattern, let alone brand, aside from it being made from cotton, and the hook being used is either 2.5mm or 3.00mm depending on the part of the hat your making. I had to go back through the product listing to see what weight yarn they suggest. How the pattern is written isn't intuitive along the same standards I've seen by other pattern writers. I've had to restart a few times because things were not as clear as they could have been. There's also no gauge, just estimate age a person should be for fit, but that's not standard measurements. Overall if experienced you'll get the gest fast enough working it out, but maybe another pattern writer for someone new to crochet.
