This kit contained everything I needed to get started soldering again. After many years of being away from soldering this kit got me started doing what I love again and at a fantastic price.

I have never soldered before and was looking for an easy way to get started. I've read a lot and there is so much information that it seemed like it might be easier to buy a kit instead of trying to figure it out on my own. Now that I've received the kit and used it a few times, I think it might be better to buy supplies separately. I only used a few of the items for the basic soldering I was looking to do. Also, please note that the kit is not set up to solder gold (or gold colored metal). It's not a bad product, but you can definitely cut down on the items needed and still make some beautiful pieces.

I bought this as a gift for my sister who is making jewelry! She loves it and is able to do everything she needs! The magnesium block came broke but I contacted the shop and they shipped me another on right away!
