This is our "Mackinac" style birdhouse, perfect for Chickadees, House Wrens, Bewicks Wrens and Prothonotary Warblers.

It is made of weathered cedar with a foundation of Lake Michigan stones on the sides and front. The roof is also weathered wood.

This birdhouse has a 4¼ x 3 ¾ inch floor and is 6 inches in height. The entry hole is 1 1/8 inches in diameter. I never put perches beneath the entry of my birdhouses, because perches offer starlings, house sparrows and other predators a convenient place to wait for lunch.

There are four holes drilled in the base of the birdhouse to allow for drainage and ventilation. The roof is attached with two screws and is removable for seasonal cleaning. If you would like to hang your birdhouse, let me know and I will put a hook on the top.

The pictures show the exact birdhouse you will receive.
