This is one of the most unusual antique diminutive copper buttons I have ever owned. It is very small and dates to the Victorian Arts and Crafts movement late1800's. I only discovered what a real little gem it is when I attempted to remove the mud arround it . It was covered with verdigris and thick mud obscuring the lovely handcrafted repousee detail hidded beneath.
It is certainly rare ,unusual and very OOAK
It measures approximately 12mm ( 7/16ths ins) in diameter and has a looped copper shank.
The handcrafted artisan design appears to be a kind of beaten out, repousse treatment with hammered marks. There are are few small dinks on the top so please do not expect a perfect button. The dome base underneath is base metal and attracts a magnet; but it is very light. There are what appear to be faint vestiges of printing on it or markings which are unreadable.
It would make a wonderful addition to a collection.

The shipping prices is for UK first class signed for and ordinary untracked airmail. If you require tracked international signed for (which includes insurance) please contact me. Do please read my terms and conditions before purchase especially regarding your right to cancel.
It comes from a non-smoking,pet free home.
