ps: this top is inspired by an exchange with a most magical and wise being, who signed her letters with a beautiful saying ~ 'yours beneath the sacred oaks' ~ this style of dyeing is completely unpredictable and you always get a surprise when you unwrap your garment, rinse it out and see what happened! when i saw the patterns and colors on this shirt for the first time, it immediately made me think of standing beneath the big white oak tree where i live the day before, looking at its huge grayish trunk way up into its tall branches full of a blend of green and deep brown leaves against a cloudy blue gray sky... one of my favorite pieces yet!

pss: why is low water immersion dyeing so cool? first, you use WAY less water in the process, as well as less dye, and get a completely unique, one of a kind result in addition to being more eco friendly! its also really really fun

Returns & exchanges

please be sure to read the measurements given for ready made clothing, and ask any questions regarding size before buying to insure a perfect fit... for custom made items, i will be working with you to get all important measurements, details, and preferences before sewing so there should be no problems - please keep in mind that hand dyeing is an art form, not an exact science, and colors may vary slightly from monitor to monitor, and from dye lot to dye lot - but variations provide character and uniqueness to your garment... if a return is necessary, i will gladly accept it, and either a refund or store credit will be issued, provided the item is returned in the exact same condition it was shipped in, within 10 business days of original purchase - buyer is responsible for return shipping costs, and original shipping costs are not refundable, sorry! i cannot accept returns for personal care items such as wash cloths or skin scrub, or on the sourdough starter, which is perishable, so please ask any questions you may have prior to purchasing, thanks!

Shipping policies

all ready made and in stock items will be shipped promptly from the eastern edge of Pennsylvania, via USPS first class or priority mail, and will be carefully packaged using recycled new materials and / or reused materials... custom garments will take 8 to 10 weeks to complete, and will be shipped via USPS priority mail with delivery confirmation (and insurance for orders over $100) as soon as they are finished... in an effort to keep my fossil fuel consumption to a bare minimum i get a carrier pickup for all U.S. packages (the mail carrier is coming to my door 6 days a week anyway!)... international orders will be shipped via USPS first class international, and if you would like your package registered or shipped via USPS priority international (which is faster, has a tracking number and can be insured) please just let me know! PLEASE NOTE: i cannot be responsible for customs fees or taxes that may be incurred for international orders - please check with your local post office before purchasing to determine what kind of fees you may be dealing with! one might ask, why is international shipping so expensive?? this past year international shipping rates more than doubled, as well as international packages require more work to process ~ different packaging, driving to the post office, and waiting for the post office to enter all customs information into the computer (often a lengthy process), so i need to ask enough to cover all these things... thanks for understanding!
