Description

At the 1939 World’s Fair The Borden Corporation featured “Dairy World of Tomorrow” in The Food Zone. Visitors could watch a live demonstration of how to properly milk cows and process milk safely. As a souvenir, Borden’s produced this 32 page cookbook with 108 recipes, all using Borden's dairy products. Later, The Borden Corporation used “Elsie the Cow” as their mascot, and she would return as a “Star” in 1964 for The New York World’s Fair.
Condition:
The cookbook is in very good condition. No major flaws, a few minor stains on a few pages (see last photo) but these do not take away from the excellent collectability of this very rare piece of American history. The front and back covers when laid flat produce a panoramic view on Borden's 1939 Pavilion. See Photos.
