Materials

silver plated wire, 1999 New Jersey state quarter, keychain

This New Jersey quarter keychain was made from an authentic U.S State quarter dollar coin. The coin represents the state of New Jersey and depicts General George Washington and members of the Colonial Army crossing the Delaware River. After I cleaned, polished, and drilled the coin, I domed it and darkened it without the use of chemicals which enhanced the details on the coin. The quarter was securely attached to a metal key ring to complete this key fob.

This would make a unique gift!

In 1999 the United States started minting quarters for the 50 State Quarters Program. This initiative continued through 2009. All states of the United States were celebrated on individual quarters. The images on the coin highlight special features about the state. The designs are beautifully rendered. Since the state quarters will never be minted again, they are collectible. Read more about it by using this link http://www.usmint.gov/mint_programs/50sq_program/?action=designs_50sq.ption

The domed quarter hangs 1 1/4 inch (32mm) from 1 inch (26mm) diameter metal key ring. The coin was securely wire wrapped to the key ring by heavy-duty 18 gauge silver plated wire.

**I'm happy to check my stash for other states, just ask!**
