Description

This original linocut print 'Pushing for home' is inspired by the Classic Italian cycling event 'L'Eroica' a bike race through Tuscan scenery on largely unsurfaced tracks 'strada bianche'. The image is of a cyclist of the 1960s pushing hard up an incline through hilly Tuscan scenery.

The print is black oil based printing ink applied to high quality, acid free 185gsm white watercolour paper.

The image measures 15x21cm (6"x8.5") on paper sized 22x28cm and is shown in a standard 'off the shelf' 30x40cm frame.

This print is one of a limited edition of 20, each is numbered, bears the title 'Pushing for Home' and is signed. It is sold without frame or mount. You will not necessarily receive the numbered print shown.

As each and every print is individually handpulled there is inevitably some minor variation in the ink transfer. I only sell items I would be happy to hang on my own wall, but no two are identical. Your purchase is an original piece of art, that's a good thing, right?

I particularly want to keep prices affordable. The price is worked out based on the cost of materials and the time taken to draw, transfer, cut and finally print. I hope you agree my prints are good value.
