This fabulous blouse or waiste from the late Victorian era,
late 1800's, is in very good condition. It could use some tweeking, the silk lining is good in the sleeves but is loose at the front neckline and the back of the arm. I would remove the lining. The net overlay is in excellent condition with only one pin hole in the back at the waist. Hooks and eyes are all there as well as the mother of pearl buttons but the button hole placket which is hidden is frayed. The lace appliques are excellent in condition as well. Lots of pin tucks, ruffles and frills that are all good. The appliques are hand stitched with a tiny two toned metallic center which would show well with dark colored skirts. (We have many Victorian skirts in varied colors in stock)

All in all a very romantic blouse which would not take much to make it very wearable or just look pretty in a show place.
