Description

Issue 1: Travelling in the Dark

Psychonaut tells the story of a space explorer who becomes stranded on an alien planet following the sudden destruction of his ship. He is rescued by an alien race known as the Xenosians, who tell him of the threat facing their planet and how he is the only one who can save them. If he fails, it means extinction for the Xenosians and the end of any hope of our hero making it back home to planet Earth and discovering the reason for his ships mysterious explosion.

Created, written and illustrated by Kevin L Kuder

Release Date: May 2014

22 page story, black and white art, color cover, with 6 pages of behind-the-scenes sketchbook drawings.

PRAISE FOR PSYCHONAUT ISSUE ONE:

"...Kuder has a very creative mind when it comes to the weird and wonderful beings he populates this alien world with. The black and white format coupled with the imaginative aliens and world destroying monsters on display, you throw in the derring-do crazy plan of our central protagonist and what you get is a B-movie feel to Psychonaut. But that is in no way a criticism as I for one am a big fan of the old school schlock sci-fi movie genre and this title delivers that feel in spades. There wasn’t much room for developing our (as yet unnamed) hero’s personality in this first issue, but the fact that he looks like a lost member of Black Sabbath and he’s battling against unimaginable odds whilst stranded far from his home planet, means there’s definitely enough in here to make me want more." - Patrick McAleer, BleedingCool.com

"Thank you for making such a fantastic comic. This has been the best read of the week for me! It was such a rad tale that totally grabbed me from just seeing the cover on the rack. I'm totally recommending this to all my friends who read comics or appreciate the old school style of comics..." - Ryan Flatt, Green, Ohio
