There's an old song by Leon Russell called "Elvis and Marilyn." He sings aboout how they never fell in love. Well in my Etsy shop, they do fall in love. . . . or at least they go around together.

Like my Marilyn Paper Doll Motion Lamp, I needed her counterpart. Why are we still so fascinated with Elvis and Marilyn? Could it be that they left us too early and we can't help dwelling on what they would have been like had they been around much longer?

There were 3 poses I had to choose from with this Elvis. Somehow the one "swinging" just seemed perfect. So as the light is turned on, he swings from outfit to outfit as the inner cylinder of the lamp moves. You can almost hear him singing "Heartbreak Hotel." (not really, but if you can, you should immediately make an appointment to have your ears tested)

As with all my motion lamps, it's six inches in diameter and stands almost 10 inches tall. The outfits on the outer cylinder are all hand cut with the tiniest scissors in Illinois. If only I had a pair of the tiniest hands to go along with them.

If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions for other motion lamps you might like to see, please don't hesitate to contact me. And please take a moment to check out my other stuff as I seem to be totally consumed by the creative cosmos these days.

Take care, your friendly neighborhood Creative Pal, Paul W.
