Vintage Southwestern tribal hand wrought sterling silver ring. It is not hallmarked so even though it is Navajo style, I cannot tell you who made it or what tribe.
It is not marked with metal purity so I acid tested it and it is 925 sterling.
This ring is set with an outstanding Arizona fire agate that hat very tiny pinfires. There is a band of green flash as well as red and orange. The stone measures 16 mm x 10 mm and the dome is at least 5 mm high. Very nice gemstone.
The stone is framed with a wavy design in silver. The face of the ring measures 1" x 5/8".
Shank is strong and cold chisel split by hand.
It is a size 7.25.
Weighs 4.7 grams. It has not been cleaned or polished.
