Beautiful vintage Twain book with many wonderful Benton illustrations, some in color. Published by Heritage press dated 1944 but I think this is a 1950s edition.

Book in great condition, Green cloth hardcover with design and title in black/ gold on cover and spine. No fading or wear to speak of, very clean, corners great. Comes in green cardboard sleeve in very good shape only light fading from age and some minor rubbing on a couple corners/ edges. Did great job of protecting book.

Binding and spine great, Book approx 6 1/4' by 9 1/2" and 1 1/2 " thick.

Pages great, clean and crisp, only very light yellowing from age, there is previous owners name and date 1959 and " Its springtime !" written in pencil on inner front end page, you can erase if you like, but I think it adds charm. Total 418 pages Pages filled with many of Bentons amazing illustrations.
