PRINTING TIPS & INSTRUCTIONS:
-First, make sure you download the file directly to your desktop.
-You can print from home if you have a printer that prints high quality.
-Photo paper or cardstock is usually best to print on.
-You can also take (or some places allow you to upload the files right to their website) the file to a photo lab (Walgreens, Costco, Target, etc).
-Costco or other photo labs are a very cost effective option for posters and enlargements but Staples or copy shop posters are better quality if you don't mind spending a bit more.
-Staples is my favorite place to print standard size prints, on 110lb white cardstock.
-Staples and Costco both offer great "upload your own" invitations or greeting cards.
-Make sure the auto correct option is TURNED OFF at photo labs!
PHOTO TAKING TIPS:
1. It's best to have a plain backdrop.
2. A direct profile shot is needed to get a good outline of the face.
3. Make sure the entire head/hair is the photo
4. Long hair (past shoulder length) looks best in a ponytail or bun but isn't required.
5. Relaxed lips (no smile) results in a more accurate depiction of them but also isn’t required.
6. When taking the picture, make sure the camera is level with their heads and not tilting upward or downward at them (if the camera is tilted up or down it makes for a wonky silhouette).
If you are interested in purchasing more than 6 silhouettes, please message me and I will create a custom listing for you.
