Description

This fabulous profile lace beautifully emulates Elizabethan needle lace, and the bobbin lace that developed subsequently in imitation of those costly styles. This form became known as Reticella. It would make an incredible ruff edging, and there is enough here to make a ruff and matching wrist ruffs. Price quoted is per yard - 36" (91cm) - LACE DESIGN 1

**I have been lucky enough to find a large lot of old lace. I am not certain of the age but I believe it dates from the early 20th century. It is machine made (NOT a chemical lace), but in some of the closest designs to 16th century lace I have seen. What makes the find particularly exciting is the long lengths, which mean it can be used for ruffs. Please note this is ALL the yardage I have - when it's gone it's gone!**

Dimensions: The depth is 7/8" at the 'points' of the profile. Price is for 1 yard but there is a large yardage available.

Condition: excellent, unused.

This lace is made from two slightly different shades of thread, a whiter and a creamer one.
However, if you decided to whiten it, it bleaches really easy using Napisan or a similar product.

My lace is absolutely stunning. I'm over the moon with the product and Tottie was super helpful throughout the purchase. Would 100% recommend and I would certainly buy again from Tudortrims for future projects. I'm very much looking forward to finishing my garment with this. Thank you Tottie!! Xxx
