JAJ (James A Jobling) was a glass and Pyrex homewares manufacturer from the 1920s in Sunderland. It was taken over by Corning in the mid-1970s and its famous factory finally shut down in 2007.

Jobling began making patterned Pyrex items from the 1960s - which carried the JAJ backstamp (see photos) until the Corning take-over.

Jobling loved flowers and the "June Rose" pattern on these plates and bowls was one of the company's most popular designs.

This set comprises 4 dinner plates (25 cm diameter), 4 side plates (16.5 cm diameter) and 4 bowls (16 cm diameter). All together the set weighs 4.5 kg (hence, inevitably, a high P&P cost for this item).

The items are all in very good condition for their age, with no chips or cracks - just a few small marks and slight fading.

It's the perfect set for a romantic vintage dinner party - almost too pretty to cover with food!
