You are looking at a very old and wonderful biscuit tin box made by Carr & Co., Ltd. Biscuit Manufacturing, Carlisle, England. This box has a wonderful scene of a young Queen Elizabeth and her husband, Prince Philip, on the cover. There is a little note on the middle of the tin that says "A souvenir of the coronation of HM Queen Elizabeth II 1953". It measures approximately 11 1\/4" X 7 1\/4". It does show some age wear obviously, but overall is in pretty good, vintage condition. The cover has a "dent" in the upper middle of the cover and some minor "kinks" in the metal at the bottom of the cover. As you can see from the picture, these hardly show. The rim around the bottom of the box is a red color and the top is as you see it in the picture. The very bottom is goldtone. What a great depiction of the Queen and Prince Philip. She looks absolutely beautiful.
